Retiree health care could force New Bedford tax hikes or service cuts

The report, "The Crushing Burden of Municipal Retiree Health Care Liabilities," found that New Bedford would have to raise the average single family property tax bill by $633 a year for 30 years to help cover its unfunded retiree health care liability.
