Editorial: The big squeeze

It has been more than three decades since Proposition 2½ became the law of the land here in the commonwealth, but there is no question that the last few years have been the hardest on municipalities...In fact, according to a recent report by the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, the last two years have been the most difficult for Massachusetts cities and towns in 30 years.
